"EcoSystem"

Postby 3Drash » Tue Jun 24, 2008 11:57 am

I have a question about the EcoSystem in 6 Esprit/Pro Studio. I downloaded the trial version of Pro Studio to start working with the EcoSystem. I want to get the EcoSystem for my Esprit while it's on sale. Any way, while I was watching the "Lava Path" tut and working on my own version (at 3 am this morning) I went to use the "paint" function in the Pro Studio trial and it's not there. Is this only a feature in xStream/Infinite? It looks like a fun feature to have.

With StudioPro you get EcoSystem1, infinite and XStream have EcoSystem2 with the added possiblity of painting eco's.
Not only "fun" but a real life saver at times.

There is still a way to get things growing on places you want insted of over the whole terrain. For that you need to go into the terrain editor and copy the terrain so you can open it in photoshop or any other thing you work with i use photoshop. Anyway on the map in photoshop make all the places where you don't want anything to grow black. Then save as a .jpg and in vue again select the terrain and go to the material editor, make sure it is oobject parametic, click variable density and edit function, then use the image there set to texture map and for scalling on both x and y set to 1.00. Then add whatever plant you want to grow in the general tab and populate ;)

... using maps is really nice, espcially for things like roads or anything like that.
Needs some planning ahead, though.

I'll have to try it. Hope to have the EcoSystem module for my 6 Esprit by the week end.

Wooo hoooo, I just bought the EcoSystem module for my 6 Esprit. Now all I need is the "DeepAccess" and "LightTune" modules. This is going to be fun.

... according to one of the service people at e-on they are "... working on version 7 right now...".
So you might get lucky with your reduced version - but: better save your gilders for version 7!
If you look at the improvements from 6 to 6inf - they must include some nifty features in the next version - I think/hope.

I'm still learning about how versatile 6 Esprit is, especially since I don't even have all the modules yet.

... if you do not have plans to upgrade soon - the lights plug is very good to have around.
the others are not bad either, but the botanica plug and the light plug you will actually see in your scene.

Yes the upgrade may be a while so I want toget the most out of what I have. Since light is one of the most important parts to an image it "Light Tune" will be the next module.

As far as Vue 7 maybe in the works I was thinking they should add "Vue Tools" to it. Vue tools is an add on for Infinite and xStream for modeling.
