Well shes finished. Render took 3.5 hours and then I did some minor work in Photoshop(added the dark tide ring around island, blurred the background, lightened up the boat, and erased a few rouge plants floating in midair.) Three problems it still has: The background brush is touching water, unrealistic but I like it, The boat is not quite touching the water, and the boat is not creating any water disturbance.

Minor flaws that I can fix in PS but this is it. Rendered in 1600x1200 and resized to 800x600 for web use. I hope you like it it took me all of 2 and a half days the crank it out, started off not so great and turned into a nice scene.

Many thanks to all of the help on the forums for input and thanks for the Geekatplay tutorials. Without them I would still be working on making simple terrains. I plan to make many more scenes and will post away as long as its still Ok

Nice! Loving the water, also the 3rd rock is my favourite heheh. Great little scene. Only thing i'd say is the boat isnt as good quality as the rest of the image, maybe you can tighten that up a bit?

Thanks, yeah I think the boat will be removed, it was a freeware boat and I had to manually place textures on it and it was kinda slapped on there.

Like I said I have no idea why that third rock is the way it is. Oh well it dosen't look to out of place eh? Lol

Thanks for the comments and tutorials!
