How to buy PS for the best price?

I know this is a forum for PS tutorials, but I don't know where to post otherwise.

It is sooo crazy. US site of Adobe offers PSCS4 for 699 USD = about 500 Euro.
But I can not buy there, because I am in the Netherlands. You get directed to the Dutch Adobe shop. There I have to pay 1010 Euro!!! It's the double price!! Hallo? What they are thinking, that in Europe all people are millionaires?

I really feel pissed off (sorry, but can't find nice words for this) about this. I am still working with PSCS2 which is licensed for the company I worked before, and still do some work for them. So it's almost legal to use. But I like to buy CS4 for my own company. But never for this crazy European price.

Any idea how I can get an US version?

Ok, I found a Dutch on-line shop where I can get it for 774 Euro incl. tax and shipping. Already better, but still a lot.

That is absolutely crazy. Is there a Euro version of Amazon.com you could look into?
Even if you did get a US (english) version would it be compatible with your Euro version of your operating system?

This might be a possible work around. Go to Wacom.com
They are the makers of Wacom tablets. IF you buy one of their tablets they provide an offer to get Photoshop for 50% off.

So, if you buy a 229.00 Wacom tablet, you can get Photoshop for 350.00. So a new Wacom tablet and Photoshop will only run you 579.00. You get both and still pay less than a single copy of PS

It only applies to the Intuos and higher, but either way, you get two for the price of one.

Thanks for your input. I've got found a German guy on the Luxory forum already. He bought it 2 weeks ago but suddenly he decided to like to have a MAC version. And as he changed before from the Mac to the PC version, Adobe doesn't allow him now to change again. Licenses will be changed through Adobe now. I got it for 600 Euro including tax now. So that's ok for me now.

Gary, nice suggestions you gave me. But I bought a wonderful tablet already this year, which fit's my needs, my hands and also the design fits perfect to my system. Well, not a Wacom - it's a Genius, but for me very handy.
And of course an US software version always will run on a European system.
