Reasons for....

Changing from Vue7 to vue 8 ?.Seeing the tutorials of both of them? i wonder....
A lot of things i have seen in Vue 7 are still in Vue 8.
Let me put it this way.....a lot of things in Vue 8 can still be done in Vue 7.If not the most.....
Could some1 dress a list with the differences between the 2 version's?,suppose a lot of people should profit from it for making a dissision.

If you not upgrading for bussines, i recomend upgrade every other version
4-6-8
3-5-7
or something like this
Major change from Vue 7 to Vue 8, terrain editor. other additions, nice but not that major.
If you working a lot with terrains pressision control, then Vue 8 needed upgrade.

A big plus for Vue 8 is that it handles displacement mapping much better.
When rendering an image with DPM it will use less memory plus it is less likely to crash.
plus you can have different nodes for displacment and bumps.
